Intuitive EFT
WHAT IS EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as “tapping”. Tapping, or EFT, is a mind-body therapy that draws on the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practice of acupuncture, and it is used today as a self-help approach in modern psychology. It involves tapping key acupressure points (acupoints) on the hands, face, and body with your fingertips while verbally addressing concerns and/or limitation and using positive affirmations to neutralize and shift those feelings.
HOW IS INTUITIVE EFT DIFFERENT?
Intuitive EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a next level therapeutic approach that combines traditional EFT tapping with an intuitive, personalized process. Here’s a breakdown of its key elements:
Tapping Technique: Similar to Clinical EFT, it involves tapping on specific acupuncture points on the body while focusing on challenges or concerns. This tapping is believed to help release negative belief systems, emotions and blockages.
Intuitive Guidance: I rely on my intuition to guide the session. I sense what issues need to be addressed for my client, and/or what tapping points might be most effective for them.
Personalization: Each session is tailored to the client’s unique experiences and feelings. This can involve exploring deeper emotional layers or identifying specific memories or beliefs that contribute to distress.
Mind-Body Connection: Intuitive EFT emphasizes the connection between thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, aiming to address not just symptoms but underlying emotional patterns.
Holistic Approach: It often incorporates elements from other healing modalities, such as meditation, visualization, or energy work, to enhance the overall experience.
Overall, Intuitive EFT aims to promote emotional healing and well-being through a personalized, integrative approach.
NOTE: there are numerous videos on tapping, and while they will give someone the basics, it is always best to see a certified professional. Emotions are tricky and you could think you are coming in for a minor problem and discover that leads to other deep rooted strong emotional traumas and/or childhood issues. Again, while those videos may be helpful at first, it will not help you get to the root of the problem and/or clear the issue so that it doesn't return.
